WHO

WE

ARE

Yanunula Ministries is a non-profit organization operating in Uganda to serve the towns of Jinja, Kamuli, and surrounding communities.

Yanunula was founded by Adam and Lauren Bonertz in 2023. God began stirring the vision for Yanunula Ministries in the hearts of Adam and Lauren in 2015 after making it clear they would spend their lives in ministry together. They have had the opportunity to work in Uganda with multiple ministries before founding Yanunula and have fallen in love with the country God has called them to.

Our heart is to unveil the truth of the Gospel, promote purpose, empower the Ugandan people, and create sustainable programs that will promote generational change

What

we

do

Yanunula Ministries exists to promote purpose by unveiling the life-changing transformation of the Gospel and empowering Ugandans to create sustainable futures and generational change.

  • Women’s and Men’s Ministries

Separate weekly gatherings for men and women exist to foster fellowship, worship our Creator, and study Scripture so that the life-changing power of the Gospel may be revealed. These weekly gatherings incorporate skill trainings, where learned information is utilized to generate income for participants families.

  • Farm

The farm produces fresh, organically raised fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat, providing need-based healthy meals for families established with Yanunula Ministries. Alongside these foods, Yanunula Ministries also provides cultural staples such as rice, beans, matooke, and posho to combat hunger and malnutrition directly. The farm further supports the community by providing income for men and women employed to nurture the garden and livestock.

  • Business Trainings

Business trainings provide tangible tools to assist Ugandans we have established relationships with in business development, thus empowering families to create self-sustainable futures.

    Street Outreach

Frequent service projects led by Ugandans in Kamuli afford the opportunity to build relationships with children living on the streets through games, worship, and studying God’s Word. Ultimately, we hope street outreach will create opportunities to reunite families, provide scholarship support, and foster discipleship with the goal of bringing the ministries started in Jinja to the community in Kamuli.
